 Seeing Double Print

“Seeing Double” is a quick reaction and focus-enhancing exercise that features one young athlete tossing two balls to a partner at the same time.  The child in the catching position is instructed to only catch one of the two balls.  This forces them to focus on one object and not get distracted by another that is simultaneously coming towards them. Please note that it is important to start this exercise with foam balls so that there will be no fear of injury.

Another variation is to use balls of different colors and, while the balls are in mid-air, have the thrower call out which color the partner should catch.
