Tag Races

|
Games of tag are not a new idea, but they still offer a great deal of fun while building skills at the same time. One variation of “Tag Races” calls for one athlete to start in a push-up position on a starting line and the other athlete about 20 feet behind. The parent or coach blows a whistle and both athletes sprint with the back runner trying to catch up with and tag the front player (who started in a push-up position) before they reach a designated finish line about 75-100 feet away. Another option is to perform the same exercise but with the front player sitting or on all fours.
